American Nativity

A Holiday Oratorio

Utilizing texts from early American psalters and hymnals, e.g. The Sacred Harp (1844), American Harmony (1771), American Nativity tells the Christmas story through a series of choral works and arias.
American Nativity can be performed in it’s entirety as an oratorio or individual movements can be extracted as stand alone carols. The work is available for both orchestra accompaniment and piano only.
